to create welcoming and functional spaces.

Guardiola Architects

It is the perfect fusion of construction tradition, energy efficiency, and a passion for design. Our goal is to create spaces that inspire, that improve the lives of those who live there, and that optimize the use of energy and resources.

Since our beginnings, we have worked with a firm commitment to efficient architecture and intelligent design, integrating the experience accumulated over decades with the latest innovations in the sector. We believe in architecture that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also provides comfort, functionality, and reduced energy consumption, adapting to the needs of each client and each space.

At GUARDIOLA Architects, we understand that each project is unique. That’s why we support our clients every step of the way, from conceptualization and design to execution and final finish. We work hand in hand to turn ideas into reality, solve construction problems, and offer high-quality solutions that integrate functionality, efficiency, and beauty.

Joaquín Guardiola Villa

Technical Architect

n 1975, he began his studies in Technical Architecture at the University of Granada.

With 45 years of experience in Construction Management, Joaquín represents a deep understanding of traditional construction systems and processes, as well as the evolution of architecture over half a century and the pursuit of energy efficiency applied to buildings that seek savings and a lower environmental impact.

Throughout his career, he has won the following awards:

  • 7th Building Quality Awards (04/09/2019): Mention in residential buildings, Rosales Building, 13, Molina de Segura.
  • 9th Building Quality Awards (11/30/2022)
  • Regional Sustainability and Energy Efficiency Award, Príncipe de Asturias Building, Murcia.

Joaquín began teaching mathematics at the Ceutí Chartered Vocational Training Center, where he instilled in his students his rational and logical thinking skills for problem-solving.

This thinking is what today makes him stand out as a fundamental skill in Architecture: “When we have doubts about something, we always turn to Joaquín.” This isn’t just us saying it, but countless colleagues and clients have said it throughout our professional career.

María José Guardiola Martínez

Architect

I began my architecture studies in 2008 at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, combining them with piano studies at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Valencia.

Since I was a child, I have been passionate about drawing and music, and it was this creativity that led me to choose architecture. I love imagining spaces and making them a reality because there is no such thing as a bad space, only a poorly managed one.

In architecture, as in life, everything depends on the approach you take, and at GUARDIOLA Arquitectura, we specialize in solving problems and providing functionality to all our projects.

In 2019, after the birth of my first daughter, I decided to specialize in energy efficiency because I would like our children to have a better world.
In 2020, I passed the German Passive House Institute exam and earned the Passive House Designer certification.

The Passive House Institute (also known as Passivhaus Institut) is an independent German research institute that plays a crucial role in the development of the passive house concept. This concept has become an internationally recognized energy standard for construction, especially in buildings with near-zero energy consumption.

In addition to all of the above, we are currently developing interior design and furniture design projects. “An aesthetically pleasing space makes you feel like everything fits together.”
